Currently I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Psychological Research. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. Psychology and B.A. Spanish Studies. 

I am the first person in my family to attend college and have encountered challenges in my educational journey, including financing my education, independently navigating higher academia, and seeking/finding mentorship. These experiences have driven my goal to provide resources and guidance for first-generation, underrepresented students in their educational paths.

I have experience working with children and families for over five years. This has included roles in both a community and clinical setting, such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Training and Inclusion Coordinator, Home Visitor, and Family Caregiver.

Each role has deepened my understanding of child development and the unique needs of families. 

My research interests are to identify and address barriers to high quality, evidence-based care for racial/ethnic populations. I specifically strive to conduct work that will address healthcare service disparities related to the behavioral health of the Latinx community.

Growing up, I saw firsthand the challenges of accessing mental health support, especially in underrepresented communities. This website aims to provide practical, helpful resources for healthy development.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I love to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. You'll often find me running and signing up for races with friends!

I also enjoy cooking Mexican recipes, my favorites are making agua fresca de fresa, chilaquiles, and arroz mexicano 🙂
